Family Justice Center planned for Richmond...
Richmond Confidential - April 29, 2010

Richmond sees more than its share of violent crime. It’s is a city of 100,000 people in a county that’s home to over 1 million. Yet more than 20 percent of the county’s domestic violence cases and 21 percent of sexual assaults are reported in Richmond, according to the Zero Tolerance for Domestic Violence Initiative. To help address the problem, service providers are gathering to form a new agency called a Family Justice Center that will serve Contra Costa County and will be housed in Richmond.
